Crufts 2017
Aged 11, Will was appearing at Crufts for the second year of three with his first agility dog, Aston. The pair reached two finals this year – the ABC Agility (U24) final and the ADOTY Medium (U12). Despite a slight mistake on the dog walk, a 5 fault round in the ADOTY final was good enough for a podium place and a spot in the Grand final in the main arena in front of several thousand spectators – quite an ordeal for an 11 year old!
In the grand final, Aston ran his socks off again accruing just 5 faults when he took a pole down. The pair finished in 9th place. Without the pole coming down they would have finished third! Here is the video of the grand final run – look out for Aston taking on the cameraman at the end!
